Rome was built on seven hills so it can be quite a task climbing up. with a Segway we can easily ride our way up and down without getting exhausted, turning a long walk into a delightful trip and experiencing a guided tour of Rome's attractions with our hand picked expert local guide as we stop at intervals to speak about monuments, history and beauty of your surroundings and landmarks.
All the routes were designed with thought and care for a maximum degree of safety to our visitors. unlike other cities in the world, Rome considers Segways as an electric pedestrians, so we roll on sidewalks. with Segway we can arrive to unique sites and areas you wouldn't normally see by foot, discovering as many hidden corners of Rome. Our Segway tours are up to 8 participants / guide, so we could give you as much attention as possible and to create an intimate and safe ride. Helmets and safety equipment are included.
If you haven't had the pleasure of experiencing a Segway PT, we invite you to join one of our tours or even just pass by our shop and have a short ride, and see what you've been missing!
What's a Segway?
The Segway is a two-wheeled electric vehicle used as a convenient way to travel around towns and cities.
It is a self-balancing device and its name is derived from the Italian word "segue" which literally means "follows" and the English word "way", or follow this way.
The motorised scooter uses gyroscopes to always remain upright and is controlled by the direction in which the rider leans.
Riders lean backwards, forwards and to the left and right using a thin handlebar attached to a pole.
It was designed by Dean Kamen, an American entrepreneur and inventor.
